Designation Senior Architect - Technical Services Group Job Description Responsibilities



Assist Business Development (BD) in developing area program and functional relationship between different spaces.

Assist BD in developing Request for Proposal (RFP) for design consultants.

Review and provide feedback to design consultants at every design stage of the project (concept development, schematic design, design development and construction/tender documentation phase).

Review and provide feedback on zoning, life safety, municipal and building bylaws/codes, accessibility and other standards relevant to the hospitality industry.

Suggest broad zoning of spaces that confers to Taj operating requirements.

Review and provide feedback on architectural and interior design concepts.

Evaluate and comment on interior layouts and functional relationship of spaces in a hotel's Front of the House (FOH) and Back of the House (BOH) including Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) areas. Review, comment and co-ordinate layout of BOH spaces with consultants and Taj operations group.

Co-ordinate design with Taj operations group and the design team.

Ensure Taj and all applicable hospitality design standards are incorporated in the project.

Initiate and participate in value engineering (VE) exercise.

Review tender documents for completeness and check for inclusion of desired design intent.

Certify payments to consultant with respect to deliverables.

Participate in pre-qualification of vendors.

Assist the project/execution team in monitoring quality and implementation of design intent during the construction process. Desired Profile Education Qualification : Bachelor of Architecture (minimum), Masters of Architecture (preferred).



Experience / Knowledge / Skills : 10 to 12 years of experience in architectural and interiors projects with direct interaction with clients, owners, architects, engineers and specialty consultants.
